Dwayne Johnson’s absence in Fast & Furious 9 shocked most fans of the franchise as the film was ranked the worst in the franchise’s history by most medial outlets. Many posts in the media described it as a wreck, failure or total disaster and Dwayne Johnson’s absence may have had a lot to do with that failure. Dwayne Johnson has a way of bringing life and humour to every film he gets involved in which is why his films have sold a combined gross of over $10 billion since he switched to acting.

Red Notice: 2021

The film brings in Dwayne Johnson as the FBI profiler helping Interpol take down a renowned art thief known as The Bishop with the help of Urvash Das (Ryan Reynolds) another art thief. It was a powerful reunion between Johnson and Reynolds and the movie was always bound to be a big hit.

Jungle Cruise:2021

Jungle Cruise is one of the longest awaited films in history since it took nearly two decades to finally get it ready for the screens. The project fell through multiple times since the film was requested in 2004. In the end, Dwayne Johnson played the role of Captain Frank while Emily Blunt played the gorgeous archaeologist Lily accompanied by her brother in the hunt for the tree of life in the heart of the Amazon Forest. The movie is based on another legend with people hunting local treasures in the middle of nowhere and ghosts of the Amazon waking up to stand in their way. A sequel for the film has been requested after its great reviews, so it would be smart to hurry and watch it.

Fighting With My Family: 2019

If you have missed Dwayne Johnson from his days in WWE, then this movie will be a great way to reunite with The Rock. The film is a sports comedy-drama that follows the lives of two siblings trying to make it in WWE. Saraya and Zak knight are the two siblings trying to break into the tough sport and Dwayne Johnson is the star they get to meet along the way. It is more of a reality drama than because it is based on a true story and even features Lena Headey who was a surprise appearance.

Jumanji: The Next Level: 2019

Jumanji has been around since 1955 but since Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson joined the survival drama that follows a mysterious video game that turns into a reality for players, the franchise has become really big. A sequel to this one is in development and it should be out soon. It was another chance for Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart to bring humour to the screens again in the fantasy adventure. The film was in the top 10 of the highest-grossing films of 2019 nearly hitting $1 billion which is why the next one is so highly anticipated.

Rampage: 2018

Big isn’t always better if Kong VS Godzilla s anything to go by. Rampage was like a combining King Kong, Godzilla and a dozen other super-large animals all turned into monsters by a deranged scientist. The biology experiment gone wrong at the Athena 1 gene laboratory causes many animals including Davies Okoye (Dwayne Johnson)’s albino chimpanzee friend to grow big and go wild. Okoye has to join the mission to save the world with a couple of good wishers and he hopes to save his animal friend too.

Central Intelligence: 2016

When Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart team up, you can be sure that action and laughter are about to go down and it hasn’t been any better since this film. The last time Calvin Joyner (Kevin Hart) and Robbie Weirdicht (Dwayne Johnson) saw each other was at their graduation. Calvin was the star athlete in the school with good grades then while Robbie was a shy chubby boy being bullied around by everyone. When they meet years later, little chubby Robbie is now the big Dwayne Johnson working for the CIA to prevent a terrorist attack while Calvin is the short-disappointed accountant with hardly enough money to pay the bills. The two must team up to save the world and their high school memories are overwhelming.

Hobbs And Shaw:2019

Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deck Shaw (Jason Statham) didn’t see eye to eye in The Fate Of The Furious but they sure did make the film a big hit and one of the best in the entire franchise. Vin Diesel decided on the spin-off that would see the two team up against a global cyber-terrorist threat and the results were amazing with a global gross of $716 million. According to many fans, Hobbs and Shaw was the last great Fast and Furious movie.

Moana: 2016

Moana changed the world of animation in 2016 grossing over $600 million with many people hoping for a sequel of the film to be released but none has come so far. The film follows the adventures of Moana, a girl from the Polynesian island of Motunui chosen by the ocean to retrieve and replace the heart of the god Te Fiti who gave life to people, plants and other living things. She has to team up with the demigod Maui who happens to be quite cunning but interesting. Well, Dwayne Johnson’s voice is used for Maui and it is just as good as seeing him in any other film.

Skyscraper: 2018

People were always used to the all-powerful Dwayne Johnson in movies with enough muscles to snap limbs like twigs but Skyscraper took a twist. Dwayne plays former veteran William Sawyer who lost a leg to a suicide bomber and who is now hired to inspect security for ‘The Pearl’ the tallest building in the world based in New York. He is on-site with his wife and twin children when a terrorist attack happens and he must shut it down and save lots of people including his family not forgetting the fact that he only has one leg and a prosthetic.

The Fate Of The Furious: 2017

Many people still say this was the last real Fast and Furious film because the ninth movie of the franchise has been termed a failure. Dwayne Johnson plays Luke Hobbs who hires Dominic Toretto and his team to retrieve an EMP device in Berlin only for Dom to pay Hobbs and give it to Cipher, a cyber-terrorist. Hobbs now has to team up with his archenemy Deckard Shaw in prison and save the world from Dom’s mistake and it has to be really fast and furious.
