Though there are several tallest hotel Buildings at the moment in different parts of the world, but as for many other lists Dubai, United Arab Emirates has more contestants than any other place across the globe. In fact, Dubai is the home to at least five of the tallest hotels across the globe. If you like a nice view from your hotel room these are ten of the worlds tallest hotels and they are very impressive indeed…

Grand Lisboa, Macau

10 – Grand Lisboa, Macau

The 10th tallest hotel building in the world is Grand Lisboa, Macau. It is of 261-meter height and is the tallest building in Macau. There are overall 58 floors of this building which were designed by Dennis Lau and Ng Chun Man, the two notable Hong Kong architects. The restaurants and casino of Grand Lisboa were opened to the general public on February 11, 2007, but the actual, official inauguration of this hotel was held in December 2008.

The Cullinan South Tower

9 – The Cullinan South Tower

There is a skyscraper in Union Square, Hong Kong. Though it is mainly a residential project it also has the 9th tallest hotel in the world. The project has two buildings i.e. The Cullinan South and North Tower and it was a project of Sun Hung Kai Properties. The project got completed in 2008 and 2009 respectively (for both towers). The Cullinan complex is of around 270 meters height and it is the tallest residential project in Hong Kong.

Baiyoke Tower II, Bangkok

8 – Baiyoke Tower II, Bangkok

Baiyoke Tower II is the tallest hotel building in the Ratchathewi district of Bangkok, Thailand, but is the 8th tallest hotel in the world at the moment. The building has a worldwide famous Baiyoke Sky Hotel on its top floor which is the tallest hotel in Southeast Asia so far. It has 85 floors and the overall height of Baiyoke Tower II is 997 feet or 304 meters. But if we include the antenna height in its overall height, it becomes a building 328 meters in height.

There is another super-tall skyscraper in Dubai, UAE which is commonly known as The Address Downtown Burj Dubai or simply The Address Downtown Dubai. This is a 1004 feet or 306 meters tall building, constructed alongside Lake Dubai, the Old Town and the Dubai Mall in Dubai, UAE. The building has the owner of being the 12th tallest building in this UAE state. There is a total of 63 floors, both residential and hotel floors. The Address Downtown Dubai was completed in 2008.

6 – Jumeirah Emirates Hotel Tower

Jumeirah Emirates Hotel Tower, which is also referred to as Emirates Tower Two in the world, is another tallest hotel buildings located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This fifth tallest hotel is a 56-storey hotel that serves thousands of worldwide customers all year long in Dubai. There are 40 luxurious suites in this hotel which actually is run by Jumeirah International Group. It is of 309 meters or 1,014 feet. The project was completed in April 2000.

Burj Al Arab, Dubai, UAE

5 – Burj Al Arab, Dubai, UAE

Burj Al Arab was the first tallest hotel in the United Arab Emirates as this project was completed in 1999. The overall height of Burj Al Arab is around 1,053 feet or 321 meters and it is a 60-storey building. The construction started in 1994 and gets completed in around 5 years. The official inauguration of Burj Al Arab was held in December 1999. It is located on Jumeirah beach and is among the most luxurious hotels in the world. Its star rating is often debated but mostly is referred to as the only 7-star hotel in the world.

4 – Rose Rayhaan Rotana, Dubai, UAE

Rose Rayhaan Rotana, the fourth tallest hotel in the world is also recognized as the Rose Tower, is a 72-storey hotel building located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The overall height of this hotel building is around 333 meters or 1,093 feet. The original height of the tower was around 380 meters or 1,250 feet but it was reduced to 333 meters in the end as a result of some necessary design modifications. Rose Rayhaan Rotana started construction in 2004 and started its operation in 2007 after completion.

3 – Emirates Park Towers Hotel & Spa

Emirates Park Towers Hotel & Spa that are also recognized as “JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Hotel” is the third tallest hotel in the world. This twin-tower complex is being constructed at the moment and will start its operation in the coming year in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The cost of this mega hotel & spa project is around 1.8 billion Dirhams. It will be a 1,608 root hotel upon its completion and the hotel will be run by Marriott International. There will be some residential apartments as well in this hotel.

The Ritz-Carlton hotel, located in Hong Kong, China is the second tallest hotel in the world. This tallest hotel is located in the International Commerce Center, located in the West Kowloon area of this most notable Chinese city at the moment. This tallest hotel occupies seventeen floors of this building i.e. from 102 to 118 floors. International Commerce Center is the ownership of Sun Hung Kai Properties. There are 312 rooms in The Ritz-Carlton hotel.

This building is being built in Mecca at the moment. This building is actually part of a building complex that holds several world records, including the world’s largest clock face, the tallest clock tower on the world map, the tallest hotel in the world and the building with the largest floor area across the globe.
