I love a nice set of Christmas lights hanging around, either on the Christmas tree or just sprinkled around the home, they always make everything feel so festive and colourful. But sometimes you want to add a touch of personality to them and normal fairy lights simply aren’t going to cut it. That is where these ten sets of string lights come into it because I have searched the web for ten of the nerdiest and geekiest sting lights money can buy and any geek or nerd would be proud to own these…
Santa Yoda String Lights
No nerds Christmas lights list would be complete without a few Star Wars inspired ones and we start with these little Santa Yoda ones. It’s just a shame they are not baby Yoda, but these look cute enough.
StarWars R2-D2 String Lights
The 2nd of the Star Wars sets is one of my favourite characters R2-D2. This little robot never fails to make me laugh. Sadly these lights don’t make little beep-bloop sounds to the tune of Christmas music, but they do look cool.
Portal 2: Companion Cube String Lights
It has been a while since a new Portal game came out, but that doesn’t stop these Companion cube string lights from being very cool indeed. While there are only ten in a set you could always get a few of them and sting them all together.
Dr Who: TARDIS String Lights
It’s been a long while since I watched Dr Who, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying this set of string lights. I just wish there was a little bit of snow on top of the Tardis to make it look a little more festive.
Marvel Deadpool String Lights
This 100% officially licensed Marvel merchandise is perfect for fans of the film or just Ryan Reynolds in general. Each set is approximately 2.5m in length and you get 12 lights to spread around.
Boba Fett String Lights
With The Book of Boba Fett starting over on Disney+ it seems only fitting to have a set of these lights sprinkled around the home. Sure, they are not the most festive looking, but they will make any Star Wars fan smile.
Minecraft String Lights
If you consider yourself a true gamer you will know what Minecraft is and probably still play it now and again. This set of 5 sting lights feature TNT blocks as well as Steve’s head, a creeper, rocks, and dirt grass.
Super Mario Coin String Lights
If like me you have been collecting these coins for years (in the games anyway) you should instantly recognise them. This set of ten lights will make any Christmas tree instantly nerdier and you could always theme the whole tree to the Super Mario world!
Marvel Avengers LED String Lights
You could only wish the real avengers would assemble around your Christmas tree, but you could always do the next best thing and use this set of 12 LED string lights featuring all the main characters.
Harry Potter Gryffindor Crest String Lights
Sure, the films have been out for a number of years now, but those fans of the Harry Potter books and films still love the HP world and will love seeing the Gryffindor Crest around the festive tree.
Do you know of any other nerdy/geeky string lights? Have you got a set of these we featured? If you do why not tell us about them in the comments below.
